Are you as caught up in The Playboy Club plot line as we are? The vintage fashions got us hooked from the get go, but now that we’ve done a little digging the fact that a lot of the storyline is based on actual historical rules and regulations from the start of the Playboy Clubback in 1960 has us totally enthralled! Check out some images we’ve pulled from the show, as well as vintage photos from the early Chicago club days.

We came across an interesting article on WonderHowTo.com entitled How To Be A Good Little Playboy Bunny, which delves into the 1968 Playboy Club Bunny Manual, which was scanned and uploaded to the web by Bunny Regina of the Detroit Playboy Club. Not only will you find countless details in the manual which have been put into play in the new television show, there are also a slew of other thought provoking points… such as; a bunny cannot drink any beverages in front of club patrons – not even water; bunnies are allowed to smoke… but only one at a time, and when doing so must set it down in an ashtray after each individual puff; and an “unkempt tail” can result in 5 demerits. We highly recommend this article, which includes actual scans directly from the manual…pretty hilarious stuff!
