Vintage Seekers Presents a 1960s Trifari Brooch
Posted on 7:55 AM by fdgdfg
A rare vintage Trifari equestrian brooch is now part of the costume jewellery range on Vintage Seekers. With its pearl belly, the signed black enamel horse brooch, designed by Alfred Phillipe in the 1960s, is a striking example of original costume jewellery.
The brooch in Vintage Seekers’ collection is part of the 'Jelly Bellies' line Alfred Phillipe, who was formerly jewellery designer for Cartier, created for Trifari. These vintage ‘jelly bellies’ jewellery pieces feature a Lucite faux pearl stone set on an enamel design.

Trifari is one of the best known of all costume jewellery manufacturers. Vintage Seekers, the luxury site for 20th century design and collectibles, also lists a signed enamel and metal crown brooch from the 1960s in its costume jewellery section.

1960s Style from ‘A Single Man’ on Vintage Seekers
Posted on 6:51 AM by fdgdfg
Julianne Moore wore a breathtaking 1960s monochrome dress in Tom Ford's film ‘A Single Man’. Vintage Seekers presents an identical version of this vintage black and white caped gown, one of just 40 ever made by Neusteters, the American department store.
Julianne Moore wears the monochrome dress in a memorable drunken dance scene with Oscar-winner Colin Firth.

Vintage Seekers is a unique online platform and magazine dedicated to original 20th century design and collectibles. Inspired by the authenticity, style and integrity of products that have stood the test of time, bringing together the best examples of design, fashion, motoring, watches, wine and memorabilia.

Madonna in vintage Vionnet [edit]
Posted on 12:07 PM by fdgdfg
Madonna, rocking her vintage gown & shoes by Vionnet at the Venice Film Festival on Thursday, September 1st!
Sunglasses were also vintage.
Edit: I have an anonymous note informing me the gown was made for her by Vionnet but no other info to back this up. I researched this info, most of the links I find say the gown is vintage but I also saw a close up of the gown and I have to agree that it does not look like vintage but 'vintage style' or repro.
