Christmas Bucilla ad from 1967 McCalls.The Bucilla company was founded in 1867 by Bernhard Ullman. Originally engaged in selling fine yarns; the company expanded their inventory to provide ladies with knitting, embroidery and needlepoint kits, books and instructional material. They exist today under the Plaid Enterprises umbrella.
You can still find wonderful vintage kits and finished products on sale at garage sales, Ebay, and Etsy.
