Lucie Ann Lingerie. Holy Grail of lingerie. Highly sought after, highly collectible, and just pure lusciousness. Sharing with you a few of my pieces from my private collection. I currently have one up for sale on eBay. An ultra rare pink long sleeve, with the infamous "pom poms". I have only one of these, starting at only $99.99 starting price. You read that correctly, starting at only $99.99.
Lucie Ann Vintage Nightgowns are among the most glamorous and desirable vintage nightgowns. Lucie Ann Lingerie was founded by Lucie Onderwyzer in 1949 she was from Belgium originally. Located at her own fashion house/plant at One Lucie Ann Lane, Beverly Hills, CA, her glamorous nightgowns and lingerie were worn by Hollywood’s glamorous stars such as Gloria Swanson, Barbara Stanwick, Eva Gabor, Elizabeth Montomery, and most recent featured on Mad Men. Even a little naughty, she helped out with costume design in the Happy Hooker. She designed all of the peignoir sets worn by Eva Gabor on the 1960′s series Green Acres.
Lucie Ann designs are known for bold color and glamorous details, such a marabou trim, pompoms and rhinestones. They were sold at the upscale and exclusive Beverly Hills boutique, Claire Sandra of Beverly Hills (#1 Lucie Ann Lane, Beverly Hills).
After Lucie Onderwyzer passed away in 1988 (at the age of 75), Lucie Ann Lingerie was sold to Deena Lingerie Company. Deena Lingerie began producing the “Lucie Ann II” line in 1990. In 1996, Deena Lingerie, along with the Lucie Ann line was sold to Lady Ester Lingerie Company. Lady Ester is still manufacturing lingerie, including the Lucie Ann line, along with other well known names such as Val Mode, Perfectform and Wondermaid. Lucie Ann II Fashion sleepwear, leisure and loungewear is sold today in major chain stores, department and specialty stores..
Lucie Ann once quoted “We make them for men, but allow women to wear them.”
